SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday said there is no fresh positive case of Coronavirus in J&K besides that 4329 travellers and persons are under surveillance in the Union Territory while as 485 persons have completed their surveillance period.

There have been four positive cases of Coronavirus so far in J&K and among them, three are from Jammu while as one is from Kashmir.

Nodal Officer for Coronavirus for SKIMS, Dr G H Yatoo said that no patient with symptoms of Coronavirus was received by SKIMS today and total number of patients who are in isolation at SKIMS stand at 21.

He further added that the elderly woman from Khanyar who is so far the lone person tested positive for Coronavirus in Kashmir is recovering and she needs more time to get fit.

Nodal Officer for Coronavirus in Kashmir division, Dr S M Qadri said that today eight samples of patients with Coronavirus symptoms were collected and have been sent for testing.

“There are at present 39 patients in quarantine in different hospitals of Kashmir including one in ITBP Hospital Pantha Chowk and eight in Chest Disease Hospital,” Qadri said.

“So far, we have received results of 87 samples, out of them 86 are positive while as one is negative. Today 2568 domestic travellers and 205 Kashmiris with travel history of outside India were screened at International Airport Srinagar,” he added.

As per the daily information bulletin, 4329 persons in J&K are under observation while as 2916 persons have been kept under home quarantine.

According to the bulletin on novel Coronavirus, 50 persons have kept under hospital quarantine while as 485 persons have completed surveillance period. 878 persons are under hospital surveillance besides that so far 256 samples have been collected for test of COVID-19.

Out of 256,231 samples that have been tested, four have been tested positive besides that reports of 21 samples are yet to come.
