SRINAGAR — With the weather being pleasant in Kashmir Valley, Badamwari — a beautiful garden consisting of Almond trees and other flower varieties located on the banks of world-famous Dal Lake — will be thronged open to the public on Sunday, which is the day of Nowruz.

According to the Tourism department, a cultural program will be organized in Badamwari on Saturday evening from 4:30 PM to 6 PM, after which this charming tourist spot will be opened for tourists and locals from Sunday.

Meanwhile, the cultural program will be attended by Secretary Tourism Sarmad Hafeez and Kashmir Tourism Director Dr. GN Itoo.

The invitation of tourism department for media persons reads as, “Dear Media Friends: Tourism Department is organising cultural evening at Badamwari Garden from 4 PM to 6 PM on March 20 (Saturday) to announce its opening and the garden will be open for general public form March 21 (Sunday).”

“Mr. Sarmad Hafeez (IAS), Secretary Tourism along with Director Tourism Kashmir, Dr. GN Itoo (KAS) will grace the occasion for the cultural evening,” it added.
