Budgam woman suffering from Acute Liver Disease needs help

PULWAMA — A woman in central Kashmir’s Budgam district is suffering from a terminal illness for which the only life-saving surgery requires about 20 lakh rupees, which is an impossible amount to arrange for the destitute family.

As per her family, Rifat Jan, wife of Shri Bashir Ahmad Bhat and resident of Bogam Batapora in Budgam, is suffering from Acute Liver Disease for which she needs an urgent liver transplantation, which is the only cure for her end-stage disease.

According to the doctors, treating her at Narayana Super-speciality Hospital Gurugram, the liver transplantation costs about 20 lakh rupees.

Given the family’s inability to afford such a huge expenditure, they have now asked for donations from the people in this hour of grief and need.
