SRINAGAR — Government forces on Tuesday conducted search operation in Habba Kadal locality of Srinagar city.
Sources said that Jammu Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force personnel conducted door-to-door searches in Baba Mohalla area of Habba Kadal.
Locals informed that houses were thoroughly searched in presence of male members. “Identity cards were also checked thoroughly,” they said.
“It was after a long time that this area was searched. It is a peaceful area and no untoward incident ever happens in our locality,” the locals added.
A police official said that it was a routine search operation.
