SRINAGAR — Two juvenile attacked a man in an orchard of Beihbagh area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam on March 6 for allegedly having illicit relationship with their mother. After a period of 10 days, he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday (March 16) in a Srinagar hospital.
According to the police, the dead person has been identified as Vakeel Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Munadgusan area of Yaripora’s Kulgam district.
While divulging the details of the case, SHO Beihbagh Sabzar Ahmad said, “It was a total blind case and initially it seemed an accidental case as the bike he was riding was near the orchard in which injured person was found.”
He added that till March 9, no FIR was signed by his family. “But later they came to police station and FIR Number 10 of 2021 U/S 341, 307 was registered in Police Station Beighbagh, which was now converted into 302 after his death.”
He claimed that both arrested brothers are juvenile, one of them was sent to juvenile home and the other will be sent today. He also mentioned that a home-made bat was used to smash his head.
According to his death certificate, Vakeel Ahmad died due to the internal injury and bleeding in his brain.
Meanwhile, the family of the deceased said that whatever may be the reasons behind the murder, but the guilty should be punished.
