SRINAGAR — The Kashmir Valley faces no flood threat, authorities said on Tuesday. Deputy Director of the Meteorological office, Mukhtar Ahmed dismissed any flood threat to the Kashmir Valley.
He said that a couple of days back people were complaining that there is a scarcity of water and there was no chance that the two-day drizzle will become a source of the floods.
Kashmir Valley has been witnessing intermittent rainfall for the past couple of days. On Tuesday, rains again lashed the Valley, leaving people to speculate about the condition of the floods.
Mukhtar Ahmed said that the weather will improve from Wednesday late afternoon. “There is no chance of any floods. Weather will improve on Wednesday,” he added.
