PDD inspector thrashed in Pulwama village

PULWAMA — An inspector of Power Development Department (PDD) was on Tuesday allegedly thrashed by a local resident in Rahmoo village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

An official said that a PDD inspector namely Fayaz Ahmad Mir of Parigam Pulwama was beaten by a local at Rahmoo Pulwama.

He said that due to unknown reasons, a local from Rahmoo abused the inspector and later tore his clothes.

He also thrashed him and left him only when the inspector felt unconscious, following which he was hospitalized, adding that an x-ray has shown a fracture in his arm.

A senior PDD official said that they are approaching the concerned Police Station and will lodge FIR against the person.
