SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday presented charge sheet against two senior separatist leaders for raising anti-India slogans during a public rally at Inderkoot Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
An official said that Sumbal police presented the charge sheet against two separatist leaders, Muhammad Yasin Malik and Aga Syed Hassan for raising anti-India slogans in a public rally at Inderkoot Sumbal in the year 2010. “An FIR 278/2010 under Section 188, 353 RPC was registered against two separatist leaders,” he said.
“Police presented the chargesheet before the Munsif Court Sumbal on Saturday,” he added.
Malik and Aga Syed were booked by the Sumbal police in 2010 for holding pro-independence rallies and gatherings in Inderkoot area of Sumbal town.
Pertinently, JKLF chief Yasin Malik is currently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail.
