BUDGAM — Clashes erupt in the premises of a quarantine centre here in Nagam Chadoora after people quarantined in the building and their relatives accused the administration of delay in declaring the tests of quarantined people.
Eyewitnesses said that the relatives of the quarantined people assembled in the premises of quarantine centre and alleged that despite taking samples on 12 May at Udhampur, the test reports are still awaited.
As the people started assembling in large number, policemen present there tried to disperse them while they raised anti-police slogans. People alleged that police beat up a 19-year-old girl who was shifted to hospital.
A series of videos of this incident have gone viral. In one of the videos, a cop can be seen chasing and hurling abuses on a local.
A police official said that miscreants tried to create ruckus inside the quarantine centre, and they were dispersed peacefully.
