SSP Pulwama grants in-situ promotion to 30 constables, followers

PULWAMA — The Departmental Promotional Committee (DPC) constituted under the chairmanship of Ghulam Jeelani Wani (JKPS), Senior Superintendent of Police, District Pulwama met on Monday and cleared in-situ promotion of 30 officials of District Police Pulwama including 28 constables and two followers.

While issuing the promotion order, Mr Jeelani greeted all the promoted officials and impressed upon them to work with dedication and devotion for the service of society in general and the Police Department in particular.

All the promoted officials expressed their gratitude to SSP Pulwama for the issuance of the promotion order in their favour.

The DPC comprises Tanveer Ahmad (JKPS), Additional Superintendent of Police, District Pulwama; Showkat Rafiq (JKPS), DySP Headquarters Pulwama; Mohammad Maqbool, Accounts Officer, DPO Pulwama and HC (M) Ghulam Mohiuddin, IC Establishment DPO Pulwama.

It is in place to mention here that “Promotion In-Situ” means elevation from the existing pay scale to the prescribed Higher Standard Pay Scale without change of designation, responsibility or inter-se-seniority, as per Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Higher Standard Pay Scale Scheme) Rules, 1996.
