Anantnag: Dooru Police has solved the murder mystery of 46-year-old Abdul Hameed Malik son of Gulam Rasool Malik, Imam Masjid of Bragam area of Dooru Shahabad in Anantnag district by arresting his 14-year-old son Mohsin Hameed Malik.

The dead body of Abdul Hameed Malik was found in his crop field on Tuesday last. A deep wound was found on his head and it was presumed that he has been attacked by an axe or any sharp-edged weapon.

The people of Dooru area had blocked the road and a shutdown was observed on Wednesday against the murder of the Imam.

Dooru Police had registered a case and during the investigation, the son of the Imam was found the culprit who was arrested and put to sustained interrogation.

“Today, the accused admitted to having killed his father as he was having anger against his father since his childhood,” police said.

A police officer added that Mohsin found his father alone in the field and attacked him with an axe. Later, he cried that his father was murdered by some unknown persons.

Weapon snatching case solved, claims Police

It was a blind murder case but Dooru Police solved it within three days.
