SRINAGAR — Three absconders, who were evading their arrests for decades, have been apprehended in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said on Tuesday.
As per the news agency CNS, a police spokesperson said that the absconders were involved in case FIR No. 193/1989 under section 379/RPC of Police Station Rajpora and FIR No. 360/2012 under sections 379, 380, 547, 511, 120-B, 457 RPC of Police Station Pulwama.
“Warrants under section 512 CrPC issued by Hon’ble Court Special Mobile Magistrate Pulwama against accused persons namely Ajab Hussain Shah, son of Athar Shah, resident of Sangerwani; Mushtaq Ahmad Turk, son of Hassan Turk Khan and Javid Ahmad Khan, son of Haider Khan, both residents of Bariangan Anantnag who were evading their arrest from decades, were executed and the accused were arrested by special police teams of Police Station Rajpora and Police Station Pulwama,” said police in the statement.
Subsequently, the arrested accused persons were produced before the Hon’ble Court of Law.
“Our consistent actions against anti-social elements should reassure the community members that we are making every effort to keep our society free of crime. Police have resolved to act as per law against those who indulge in criminal activities,” police added.
