Unknown gunmen kill youth in Habba Kadal

SRINAGAR — Unidentified gunmen fired upon a shopkeeper in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar city.

Sources said that the shopkeeper sustained bullet injuries in his chest. He was shifted to SMHS Hospital where doctors declared him dead. The victim reportedly owned a mobile shop.

Sources identified the victim as 37-year-old Umar Nazir Bhat, a resident of Kailashpora Habba Kadal, Srinagar.

Sources said that the victim was standing outside the shop when pistol-borne youth fired upon him at point blank range.

Pertinently, yesterday, a police inspector was shot dead by two pistol-borne youth in Baghat Kanipora area of Srinagar outskirts.
