Vehicle laden with Apple boxes overturns at Aglar Kandi in Pulwama

PULWAMA — A TATA 407 vehicle loaded with apple boxes, on way from Kamrazipora village to Pachhar Fruit Mandi in Pulwama, overturned at a blind curve on Aglar Kandi road.

Aglar Kandi village, located in Pulwama district, is situated 14 km away from the district headquarters.

Locals witnesses said that as soon as the driver named Naseer Ahmad from Drabgam Payeen lost control of the vehicle, he jumped out to save himself. Later, apple boxes were seen scattered on the road.

After the locals came to know about the accident, they voluntarily helped transport the scattered apple boxes in a tractor.

“This is second accident here in a single week. This road needs immediate repair in order to avoid potential deadly accidents,” a local said.

Due to the accident, there was a traffic jam as well for some time after the vehicle overturned on the road.
