
LEH — Over 50 students from Kargil who had been quarantined in Kota Rajasthan after returning from Iran returned back to Kargil on Sunday morning.
Scores of students from Kargil were put in quarantine in Rajasthan desert after returning from Iran-the country that has been badly hit due to Coronavirus.
A couple of persons from Kargil have died in Iran due to COVID-19 while others were asked to stay put in the country and had been quarantined.
Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Baseer-ul-Haq Chowdary said that 57 students returned from Kota Rajasthan post quarantine. Chowdary added that Kargil administration is actively pursuing the return of next batch. He said all the COVID-19 safety measures are being taken to contain the spread of lethal infection.
Scores of people from Kargil, Leh and Kashmir are stranded in different parts of Iran and India.
Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Government spokesman, Rohilt Kansal tweeted that 376 J&K students in Kota are set to return tomorrow. “All arrangements finalised. This follows recent return of students and others who were in Jaisalmer and other places,” he tweeted.
