Petrol - Diesel - Fuel

SRINAGAR — Day after the Central government announced reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10 respectively, the authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have decided to reduce additional Rs 7 on petrol and diesel in the Union Territory.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, office of the Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor said that the J-K has decided to reduce additional Rs 7 on petrol and diesel.

After reduction of additional Rs 7 on both the fuels, the price of petrol and diesel per litre will be Rs 12 and Rs 17 less respectively in Jammu and Kashmir.

In addition, J&K admin has decided to reduce additional Rs. 7 on Petrol & Diesel, thereby reducing Petrol price by Rs. 12/litre & Diesel by Rs. 17/litre in UT from today,” office of LG J&K tweeted.

Notably, on Wednesday evening, the Central government announced reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10 respectively on the occasion of Diwali.
