Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission has announced the JKPSC Recruitment 2018 for 52 Posts in Higher Education Department.

The Notification No: 02-PSC(DR-P) of 2018; Dated: 19-01-2018 has been issued by the recruitment agency in this regard.

Applications through online mode are, therefore, invited from the permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir State possessing the prescribed academic / professional qualifications and age for the posts of Assistant Professor, Librarian, Physical Training Instructor in Higher Education Department (Government College of Engineering & Technology) as per the category-wise break-up tabulated below:

The Commission has developed an online Application Form for the Direct Recruitment posts. The Application Form together with instructions for filling up the Application Forms will be available at the website of the Commission from 20th of January, 2018. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions and all the eligibility conditions prescribed for the post before filing the online Application Form.

Important Dates: Last Date for filing of online Application complete in all respects is 19th of February, 2018. Last Date for submission of fee / bank challan is 21st of February, 2018.

Candidates will also be required to submit a hard copy of the downloaded online application form alongwith the bank challan / e-receipt and the other requisite documents at J&K Public Service Commission, Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu / Solina, Srinagar upto 23rd of February, 2018 or by Registered Post by or before 20th of February, 2018 along with the bank challan / e-receipt.

Classwork suspended in higher educational institutions till July 31

Certificate Attachments With Hard Copy: The following certificates are to be attached with the photocopy / hardcopy of the Application Form for JKPSC Recruitment 2018 for 52 Posts in Higher Education Department.

i. Date of Birth Certificate.
ii. Permanent Resident Certificate.
iii. Educational Qualification Certificates prescribed for the Post.
iv. Certificate of Higher Qualification, if any.
v. Marks Certificate of all semesters of prescribed qualification.
vi. Category Certificate as per SRO 294; Dated: 21-10-2005 as amended from time to time
read with other relevant SRO’s which must be valid on the cut off date (viz. last date for receipt of application forms).
vii. Disability Certificate, if any, on the prescribed format.

Age Criteria: Age as on 1st January, 2018 should be Minimum = 18 Years and Maximum = 40 Years. However, for Physically Challenged candidates = 42 Years, Candidates belonging to RBA / SC / ST / ALC / SLC categories = 43 Years, Candidates in Government Service (in respect of candidates already working in H&ME Department) = 45 Years, Ex-serviceman = 48 Years.

1. In terms of the Government Order No. 102-GAD of 2007; Dated: 27-01-2007, the Contractual appointees shall be deemed to be in-service candidates so far as the upper age limit for direct recruitment to Government Service is concerned provided they subsist in contractual appointment as on the date of issue of advertisement.
2. Over-aged candidates having exceptional qualification relevant to the concerned subject may also apply at their own risk and responsibility without prejudice to the right of the Commission to reject their Application Form.

Scheme of Selection: The eligibility for JKPSC Recruitment 2018 for 52 Posts in Higher Education Department shall be governed in terms of J&K, Government Engineering Colleges (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules of 2017 notified vide SRO 272 of 2017; Dated: 06-06-2017 and the selection process shall be conducted in accordance with Rule 51 of Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 1980 as amended upto date (Notification No. 07-PSC (DR) of 2017; Dated: 07-06-2017 & available on the website of Commission i.e, www.jkpsc.nic.in).

Examination / Interview Fee: After successful submission of the form online for JKPSC Recruitment 2018 for 52 Posts in Higher Education Department, a challan will be generated indicating the basic details of the candidate which inter-alia shall indicate the amount of fee to be deposited in the J&K Bank branch. General Category candidates have to pay Rs. 805/- while as the Reserved Category candidates need to pay Rs. 405/-. The total amount of fee payable shall include Rs.05/- as service charges of the J&K Bank.

Venue for Interview: Interview of the candidates will be held at the Headquarter of J&K PSC i.e, Solina Srinagar or Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar Jammu as the case may be.
