Dream of Freedom

Dream of Freedom

Decades gone then came a dream
And brought that moment a new gleam
I found myself shrithing fearlessly
And my eyes gazed the despot ardently

Then I heard the noise of birds
Which infused hope even in cowards
There I heard the sound of waves
That uprooted the chains, holding the slaves

The sky looked so clear and bright
Instilling in brutal hearts a colourful light
That darkness was so dazzling and colourful
For whole life I seldom saw it so beautiful

If Mirrors Could Talk - A Poem

A voice taking my name with immense warmth
Infusing spirit in veins and keeping up my strength
That little span of time was so alluring
For it often in my head keep resonating

Then my eyes got opened
And my dream of freedom got marred
