Once, we were one.
Our fun was common fun.
Griefs were same
So were beliefs.
Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians
Were beads in a single thread.
Festivals were common
So were bad omen and good omen.
Walls of hatred did not exist
As we have an attribute of resistance.
Paddy fields saw presence of every community.
Singing songs of brotherhood was everyone’s immunity.
Different dresses meant same dress.
Different kind of hair had same tress.
Hearth was common for all vessels.
We are proud of our brotherhood.
We can never forget our brotherhood.
