SRINAGAR — In Jammu and Kashmir, only those students who have qualified the annual regular examinations of 12th standard within the top one per cent would be eligible for the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) scholarship.
According to the news agency KNO, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has said that these students will be getting Rs 5000 monthly.
“All such students who have passed Class 12th under Science stream from Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education under the Annual Regular examinations held during the academic session November-December 2021 and March-April 2022, and whose performance is within top 1%, are eligible for Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) Scholarship,” JKBOSE said.
It also said that the students will be eligible provided they are pursuing Higher Education in Basic and Natural Science courses at B.Sc, Integrated M.Sc or BS, MS-level within the specified subjects of INSPIRE SHE Scheme, (Not Medicine and Engineering).
“The scholarship amount is Rs 5,000 per month and mentorship Rs 20,000 per annum,” it reads.
