Budgam: In the ongoing 10th Class exam, a shameful incident of mass copying was reported from a Government Higher Secondary School in Budgam today.
The mass copying incident was reported from Government Higher Secondary School Haripora (Haran Soibugh) in Budgam district.
The video of the incident, viral on social media, has been shot at about 03:00 PM today while the candidates were mass copying without any fear of authorities stationed there.
After the video became viral, the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) cancelled today’s Paper at Higher Secondary School Haran Soibugh, Budgam over complaints of mass copying.
The complaint in this regard reached Education Minister, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, who immediately asked the authorities to look into the issue. On confirmation, the secretary JKBOSE ordered the cancellation of the paper at the said centre.
The Board has cancelled class 10th private annual examination of Science subject in five exam centres in Soibugh area.
“There was public interference inside the exam centres which resulted in total chaos and encouraged students for mass copying,” Joint Secretary Examination in JKBOSE, Syed Abdul Rouf said.
He said the incident was reported by the officers who were deputed for examination duty in these centres.
“We received reports from the concerned superintendent examination in this particular centre as there was too much public interference in the conduct of exams,” he said.
