PULWAMA — In a very unique way, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama on Tuesday handed over his chair to students of Government Higher Secondary School Karimabad to boost their passion for administrative services.
As per the news agency KNO, the programme was organized under Pulwama Youth Mission IAS in which several officers including SSP Pulwama participated.
50 students of Government Higher Secondary School Karimabad which includes 29 girl students and 21 boys were called to DC Office Pulwama and everyone was given a few minutes to sit on the chair of DC Pulwama and function as District Magistrate. Students were seen listening to the grievances of the people and referring issues to concerned authorities as well.
Students on the occasion were seen as very energetic and happy while listening to and discussing the issues of the people. “We are very happy today and such initiatives are developing an energy to work hard and qualify for high-level competitive exams so as to work for the welfare of the society,” the visibly happy students said.
They thanked the district administration, especially Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, for organizing such programmes and hoped that more such initiatives will be started so as to attract more and more youth towards competitive exams, especially administrative services who can work for the welfare of society at different levels.
Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Baseer-ul-Haq Choudhary on the occasion said that our sole aim behind organizing this programme is to develop positive energy concepts among youth and to attract them towards administrative services.
“We want to make them understand that they too can get this chair and even higher ranks and then contribute to the welfare of society in different sectors, provided they choose a positive road map and work hard,” he said.
