Former IB Chief Dineshwar Sharma dies of ILD

SRINAGAR — Former Director of Intelligence Bureau, Dineshwar Sharma who was currently holding the charge of LG Lakshadweep died on Friday afternoon.

Sharma was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on November 25 and was then shifted to MGM Hospital, Chennai on November 27.

Sources said that interstitial lung disease is said to be the cause of his death. He was also appointed as an Interlocutor for Kashmir and previously held the post of IB chief.
