Landslide: 14 members of four families rescued in Chandoosa

BARAMULLA — At least 14 people from four families were rescued after a landslide hit three houses and a cowshed in Chandoosa area of Baramulla district.

Station House Officer (SHO) Chandoosa said that they got an information about the landslide from Lateef Abad, Chandoosa Baramulla around 10 PM last night that three houses and one cowshed had come under landslide. He said 14 family members belonging to four families were rescued safely.

He further said that the rescued persons were asked to stay in Higher Secondary School Chandoosa but they refused and wanted to stay within the neighbourhood which is prone to landslides.
