Student killed, another injured in Handwara

HANDWARA — A Class 7th student was killed as government forces opened fire after youth pelted stones at them in Mandigam area of Qaziabad, Handwara. One more was also injured, as per reports.

Witnesses said that Class 7th student identified as Owais Ahmad Mir son of Mushtaq Ahmad resident of Mandigam Qaziabad was injured during clashes in Mandigam area.

He was rushed to SDH Kralgund where doctors referred him to Handwara in critical condition.

Owais was declared brought dead by doctors in Handwara hospital while as another one was injured in the forces’ action.
