KU extends last date for UG, B.Ed & PG Admissions

Srinagar: University of Kashmir (KU) has extended the last date for UG, B.Ed & PG Admissions for the Session 2019.

A notification titled “Extension for Admission (Under Choice Based Credit System – Semester Scheme) for Under Graduate 1st Semester of 2019 (Regular)” was issued by the varsity in this connection.

The notice reads, “In continuation to this office admission notification of even no. dated 17-01-2019, the admission date for UG 1st & 2nd Semester (Under Choice Based Credit System Semester Scheme) is extended up to 7th February 2019.”

“Submission of form and completing admission formalities in the college will now be on 08-02-2019. Rest of admission schedule for Regular UG Course – Batch 2019 will remain unchanged,” the notification further said.

Meanwhile, the University’s Directorate of Admissions & Competitive Examinations also issued a date extension notification titled as “Date extending notice for admission to B.Ed and PG programmes.”

“The date for submission of online application forms for admission to B.Ed and PG Programmes offered through the Directorate of Distance Education – Session 2018 has been extended upto and including February 12, 2019,” reads the notification.

However, the candidates applying under In-Service (TC) category have to submit the hard copy of the application form in the office of the Directorate of Admissions & Competitive Examination by or before February 12, 2019 upto 04:00 PM.

Besides, it is for the information of all concerned that the basic eligibility criteria for applying for admission to B.Ed Programme offered through the Directorate of Distance Education has been amended and shall now be as under:

• 45% marks at Graduation level for candidates applying under Open Merit quota;

• 40% marks at Graduation level in case of candidates applying under any Reserved Category quota.
