SRINAGAR — The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced new dates for the UGC-NET 2024 June session.
The Joint CSIR UGC NET will be held from July 25 to 27, while the UGC NET June 2024 cycle is scheduled for August 21 to September 4, a statement issued by NTA reads.
The initial exam took place on June 18 across 317 cities, with over 9 lakh candidates participating. However, it was cancelled on June 19 due to concerns about the exam’s integrity following an alleged leak reported by the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan confirmed that the question paper was leaked on the darknet and circulated on the Telegram app.
Originally conducted offline on a single day, the rescheduled exam will return to the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format and be spread over a fortnight.
