PULWAMA — Police in Pulwama, in coordination with the Agriculture Department, registered a case Thursday against a man for the unauthorised storage of a large quantity of urea fertiliser.

Authorities found the stockpile during a routine verification drive in the Parigam area. A fertiliser inspector and local police found the urea stored inside a local godown.

Police identified the owner of the stockpile as Fayaz Ahmad Magray, a resident of Kaisermullah Chadoora. Magray failed to produce a valid license or authorised documents for the storage and possession of the fertiliser, according to police.
