Omar Abdullah to contest assembly elections from Ganderbal

SRINAGAR — National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah will contest from Ganderbal in the upcoming elections, party leaders confirmed on Sunday.

The party leaders Agha Ruhullah and Nasir Aslam Wani, during a rally in Nunnar, said that Abdullah will run from the Ganderbal district of Central Kashmir.

Abdullah expressed his gratitude to the people of Ganderbal on behalf of himself and party President Dr Farooq Abdullah.

He criticised opponents for dividing and weakening their cause and pledged to work towards strengthening the party and advancing Ganderbal’s progress.
