
JAMMU — Northern Railway’s Jammu Division has cancelled four trains scheduled to depart on Friday, October 9, due to anticipated severe road traffic congestion around New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations on October 10.
According to a press release issued by the Jammu Division, the cancelled services include three trains operating between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and New Delhi, besides the Jammu Tawi–New Delhi Rajdhani Express.
The affected trains are Train No. 12446: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–New Delhi, scheduled to depart at 7:50 pm; Train No. 04082: Katra–New Delhi, scheduled to depart at 9 pm; Train No. 22462: Katra–New Delhi, scheduled to depart at 11:25 pm; and Train No. 12426: Jammu Tawi–New Delhi Rajdhani Express, scheduled to depart at 9:25 pm.
The Railway Administration clarified that the cancellations apply to services departing from their originating stations on October 9.
Passengers travelling on the affected services have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and check the latest information before leaving for railway stations.
Help desks have been established at important railway stations, while updates are being disseminated through public announcement systems.
Passengers can also check their train status through Railway Helpline 139 or the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) app, the release said.
