SRINAGAR — 45 students who arrived at Srinagar Airport on Friday were moved to quarantine facility where they will be kept in isolation, officials said.

They said all passengers arriving from outside at the airport have to undergo mandatory quarantine, as such they were taken to the facilities set up by the authorities in Srinagar.

However, sources said several students escaped from the airport while their screening was being done. “It was not immediately known whether they were screened or escaped without undergoing the screening and completing other formalities,” they added.
