Ailing CRPF man shoots self dead in Srinagar

SRINAGAR — A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man, who was ailing and under treatment, committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Srinagar on Saturday.

Officials said that a CRPF trooper, identified as HC Dilbagh Singh of 23 Battalion, posted at Civil Secretariat Srinagar, shot himself while on duty at around 12:30 AM tonight.

Soon after the incident, his colleagues rushed towards him and found him in a pool of blood.

The injured Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead, they said.
