
BANDIPORA — Authorities Saturday sealed Central Mosque in a Bandipora area that is being declared as a hotspot for COVID-19 infection.
Sources said that on the directions of district administration, Tehsildar Bandipora sealed Markazi Masjid Sharif at Gund Qaisar village. The village has been declared as a hotspot for the spread of COVID-19 infection.
The district has already crossed 100 mark as new 7 positive cases surfaced in the district on Saturday. Bandipora has now 115 positive cases wherein 89 are active, 18 recovered and 1 has died. Gund Jahangir and Gund Qaisar are badly hit areas.
Out of 494 positive cases, 397 are active, 92 have recovered and 6 have died in Kashmir Valley.
