
SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday suspended Mohd Mujib-ur Rehman Ghassi, Special Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department and Ashiq Hussain, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K with pending inquiry against them.
In an order by the Commissioner Secretary to Government, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, it said, “Pending inquiry into his conduct, Mr. Mujib ur Rehman Gassi, KAS, Special Secretary to Government, Industries and Commerce department is hereby placed under suspension, with immediate effect in terms of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.”
“During the period of his suspension, he shall remain attached with the General Administration Department (GAD),” reads the order copy.
Similar suspension order has been issued against Ashiq Hussain, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K. However, he has been asked to remain attached in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir during the period of his suspension, reads a government order.
