
SRINAGAR — Three travelers were among 113 fresh novel coronavirus cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday. Also, one person died due to the virus, taking the fatality count to 1912 in J&K.
Among the fresh cases, they said, 65 are from Jammu Division and 48 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total tally to 122764.
Giving district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 24 cases, Baramulla 5, Budgam 2, Pulwama 5, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 1, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 2, Kulgam 2, Shopian 2, Jammu 48, Udhampur 5, Rajouri 0, Doda 2, Kathua 1, Samba 4, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 2 and Reasi 2.
Moreover, they said, 198 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—98 from Jammu Division and 100 from Kashmir valley. The number of active cases has reduced to 1682 in J&K.
67-year-old man falls victim to COVID-19, Kashmir toll 1200
A 67-year-old man from Omar Colony area of Lal Bazar here became one more victim of COVID-19 in J&K, taking the fatality count to 1912.
Official sources said that so far 1200 people died in the Valley while 712 have succumbed to the virus in Jammu region.
Srinagar district with 452 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (365), Baramulla (172), Budgam (111), Kupwara (94), Pulwama (88), Anantnag (84), Doda (64), Bandipora (61), Udhampur (57), Kulgam (53), Rajouri (55), Kathua (50), Ganderbal (46), Shopian (39), Samba (39), Poonch (24), Ramban (21), Kishtwar (22), and Reasi (15).
