Accidental bullet fired in court premises in Budgam

BUDGAM — An accidental bullet of a cop hit a car in the court premises of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday afternoon.

Police sources said that a police party from Police Station Budgam was sent to Budgam Court for remand of an accused person. However, service rifle of one Constable identified as Zahid Ahmad went off accidentally in the court premises, as per the sources.

In the incident, one bullet hit a car bearing Registration No. JK01Q – 3918 of Advocate Feroz Ahmad Mir.

Sources said that there was no loss of life or any injury reported in this incident.
