Housing Society Management Show 2020 ends on a high note

MUMBAI — The third edition of India’s first and only Expo on Housing Societies’ Management – ‘Housing Society Management Show 2020’ (HSMS 2020) held on February 7, 8 and 9, 2020 in Mumbai concluded successfully. The event, as per the news agency DigPu News Network, had everything on a larger scale, in terms of the space occupied, variety in offerings from exhibitors and profile of visitors during the day-long show.

Commenting on the steady growth of this show over the last three years, Y Mukund Rao, Organiser of HSMS 2020, said, “This year besides the city’s well-known dignitaries visiting and appreciating the show, our prime target visitors to HSMS 2020 included 3,212 unique Housing Societies of which 85% of which were decision-makers of housing societies.”

Net exhibition space of 1350 square meters at HSMS 2020 occupying two floors had 87 exhibitors showcasing more than 105 different categories of products and services useful for the housing societies.

This van has been designed with the specific idea of reaching slums and other narrow areas, not accessible by the larger engines/vans.

While inaugurating HSMS 2020, Shri Ashish Shelar – MLA, BJP said, “This Expo is a good initiative aimed at Housing Societies.”

The current Mayor of Mumbai, Smt Kishori Pednekar on her visit to HSMS 2020 was amazed at the various services and products that were available for the Housing Societies. Estimating the tradeshow, the Mayor said that at HSMS one could see and understand how professional services and products should be used in our living space.

The Mayor lauded the show and said, “This exhibition would contribute to the further development of relations between the service providers and office bearers of the societies.”

During the rounds of the exhibition stalls, Prashant Gaikwad – Assistant Municipal Commissioner at MCGM was impressed by witnessing a variety of products and services.

Simultaneously, Interactive Conference Sessions at the Conference Hall allowed the participants and visitors to learn about why it is important to get professional services in our living space.

There were 30+ presentations and 40+ experts related to housing society with relevant current topics such as sexual harassment of women in the workplace, water conservation and what do you know about elevators? Road Safety – Role of a Housing Society, PET’s and Strays in Societies.

Industry experts said the increase in a number of exhibiting categories testified to the growing importance of the HSMS exhibition among the leading service providers across the world.

Sahakar Bharati – a non-political and non-government organization for spreading, purifying and strengthening the co-operative movement, had co-located their seminar on running the Co-op Housing Society with HSMS 2020. They had a remarkable 1200 delegate attendees consisting of office bearers of Housing Societies on February 7.

The success of HSMS 2020 was also a result of the support of Maharashtra Societies Welfare Association (MSWA), Professional Housekeepers’ Association (PHA), VCitizens Action Network (VCAN), National Solid Waste Association of India (NSWAI), Indian Pest Control Association (IPCA), All India Real Estate Agents Association (AIREAA), Sahakar Bharati, Women’s Legal Forum for Housing Societies (WLFHS), Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), Indian Pump Association (IPA), Vasai Taluka Housing Federation, Accommodation Times, Soch Sayani and many others.
