Article 370: Speaker defers ruling on 5 MLAs’ joint resolution as BJP disrupt Assembly proceedings

SRINAGAR — Jammu Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather on Friday announced that he will deliver his ruling on the joint resolution for Article 370 restoration submitted by five MLAs at a later time.

However, Sajjad Gani Lone expressed his desire to have the resolution tabled immediately, citing the urgency of the matters it addresses. Lone’s call for action prompted BJP lawmakers to create ruckus, as they were already protesting against the resolution passed by the Assembly a few days ago.
