PULWAMA — A 22-year-old motorcyclist died after being hit by a vehicle in Kangan area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday, officials said.
An official told the news agency KNO that the youth was riding a motorcycle when a vehicle struck him in Kangan.
He was initially taken to District Hospital Pulwama and later referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar in critical condition, the official said.
However, he was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The deceased was identified as Adil Ahmed Chopan, 22, son of Ghulam Mohammad and a resident of Yousmarg in Budgam district.
Officials said cognisance of the incident had been taken and details regarding the accident and the vehicle involved were being verified.
