Grenade blast leaves four wounded in Kulgam

Kulgam: At least four civilians were injured after suspected militants lobbed a grenade on police station here in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

A police official said that a grenade was hurled towards police station Damhal Hanjipora Kulgam that exploded outside the station resulting in injuries to four civilians.

He added that grenade thrower managed to escape from the spot though a search operation was launched to nab them.

The official identified the injured as Ayaz Ahmad Bhat and Riyaz Ahmed Bhat, both residents of Ashmuji Kulgam, Sabzar Ahmad Hajam of Nandimarg and Bilal Ahmed Khatana of Bangiward KB Pora. (CNS)
