
BARAMULLA — A civilian who was critically injured in Pakistani mortar shelling on 10 March at Kamalkote Uri belt in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS.
Reports reaching here said that the deceased has been identified as Riyaz Ahmad Khatania son of Sadar din Khatania resident of Shahdara Kamalkote Uri, Baramulla along Line of Control.
After battling for his life for about 10 days, the youth succumbed at a hospital on Tuesday. Police officials confirmed his death.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistani Army violated ceasefire and targeted Indian Army check posts and residential areas, resulting in one civilian being critically injured and two other receiving minor injuries in the ongoing shelling on 10 March.
