No IED blast but accidental explosion during training in Poonch: Defence spokesman

POONCH — The Jammu based defence spokesman of Army on Wednesday denied any IED blast having taken place in Mendhar area of Poonch LoC sector.

In an email to KNO, the spokesman said one soldier got seriously injured while as others suffered minor injuries in a training event accident in forward area in Poonch sector.

“There was no IED blast in the area. It was an accidental explosive of low intensity which caused injuries to our soldiers,” he told KNO.
