
SRINAGAR — The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Sunday said that five more cases have been tested positive for novel coronavirus, taking the total toll of active cases to 34 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Government spokesperson, Rohit Kansal in a tweet informed that five more cases were tested positive.
He said that among fresh new positive cases, two belong to Srinagar, two belong to Budgam and one case is from north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. “5 more positive cases confirmed in Kashmir – 2 from Srinagar, 2 Budgam, 1 Baramulla,” Kansal tweeted.
With new cases, the total number of cases has taken abrupt surge to 38 of which only 34 are active among which 27 are from Kashmir Valley alone and 7 in Jammu division.
Two people have so far died while as one each from Jammu and Kashmir have recovered.
