Srinagar: Old sim cards in J&K to go non-functional tonight at 9 pm.
According to sources, a message was received by many Airtel subscribers stating that the old sim cards won’t work from 9 pm tonight. The subscribes have been told to wait till next day 10:00 am so as to let the Company activate their (subscriber’s) newly verified sim cards bearing the old mobile number but new sim number.
The message reads as “Aap ka mobile aaj raat 9:00 baje band ho kar subah 10:00 baje aapke purane sim par hi chalega. Is doran aapke mobile number pe call aane/jane ki suvidha uplabdh nahi rahe gi. Aap se anurodh hai ki aap subah 10:00 baje ke baad apne mobile ko switch off kar switch on karein.
Number activate hone ke 2 ghanton mein aapke account ki balance aur validity post kar di jayegi. Asuvidha ke liye khed hai. Airtel ke saath jude rehnein ke liye aapka dhanayaivaad.”
