SRINAGAR — At least two Indian Army soldiers and two porters working for the army were killed and three others injured in a militant attack on Thursday at Botapathri sector in northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources quoted by the local news agency GNS said that militants this evening attacked an army party near Botapathri sector. In this attack, two army soldiers and two porters were killed while three others were injured.
The deceased porters have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary, a resident of Nowshera Boniyar and Zahoor Ahmad Mir, a resident of Barnet Boniyar.
Soon after the attack, more security reinforcements were rushed to the area.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has condemned the attack and condoles to the families of those who were killed in the attack.
