Srinagar: After fresh protests by the students, Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) Monday decided to hold shorthand practical paper exams of the commerce students of SP Higher Secondary School afresh.
“An expert panel was formed after permission by the chairman and the committee has recommended that the practical exams of the students shall be taken afresh,” Tahir Hussain, Assistant Secretary JKBOSE said.
He said authorities will also hold fresh external practical exams of all those students whose award sheets were not forwarded by the concerned institutes.
“A number of schools have made negligence in forwarding the award sheets. We will get the approval and hold the exams of the students afresh,” he said, while underlining that the institutions will be penalised.
Earlier hundreds of students again staged protest outside JKBOSE office here against authorities for failing them in practical subjects without any valid reason.
“Most of the students have scored more than 80 percent marks in other subjects but have been shown reappear in external paper of shorthand subject,” a protesting student said.
