SRINAGAR — The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Sunday further ordered the closure of all educational institutions including coaching centres till further orders in view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.

An order to this effect has been issued by the Member Secretary, State Executive Committee of the J&K Government’s Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction while invoking Section 24 of the Disaster Management Act 2005.

All school and higher educational institutions, including coaching centres, shall continue to remain closed for onsite / in-person teaching, till further orders, reads an order.

It reads, “However, the educational institutions have been permitted to seek personal attendance of limited vaccinated staff for administrative purposes.”

“The maximum number of people permitted to attend any indoor/outdoor gathering shall be restricted to 25,” the order added.
