Bishwajit Kumar is new Administrative Secretary, School Education Deptt

SRINAGAR — Bishwajit Kumar Singh on Monday assumed the charge of Administrative Secretary, School Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir.

His predecessor Asgar Hassan Samoon handed over the charge to him.

Singh is an IFS officer of 1989 Jammu Kashmir Cadre. He will be the first IFS officer to hold this important post.

BK Singh, who was awaiting orders of adjustment in the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment, in a surprising move was appointed as Administrative Secretary, School Education Department.
