LEH — The Leh administration on Sunday ordered the closure of all the government and private schools in the Union Territory following the threats from Coronavirus disease.

All schools, both private as well as the government, affiliated with Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education in Leh district will remain shut till March 31, District Magistrate Leh, Ladakh, Sachin Kumar Vaishya said.

She said, “As a precautionary measure to prevent the possibility of spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) amongst our children, Leh administration has directed immediate closure of all the government and private schools in the district.”

Pertinently, Jammu Kashmir Government has already ordered the closure of all the primary schools in six districts including Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Bandipora, Samba and Jammu.
