Directorate of Lifelong Learning, KU to organise Counseling Event

Srinagar: Directorate of Lifelong Learning (DLL), University of Kashmir is going to organise a counselling event on ‘Admissions abroad, fellowships & careers beyond medicine and engineering’. High School, Senior High School and Undergraduate/Postgraduate students and their parents can take part in the event. The event will be held on 6th of January, 2016 in Gandhi Bawan, Kashmir University. Timing of the event will be 11.30 to 14.30 hours. Some of the experts who are expected in the event are:
1. Prof. Faizal (Professor of Theoritical Physics, University of Waterloo, Canada). His recent theories on Parallel Universes and Black Holes are being tested in Large Hadron Collider (LHC), Geneva.
2. Dr. Maroof (BVSc, MVSc, MA and PhD in English and also holds a few more Masters in other subjects). Author of three books and more than 50 Papers on Philosophy, History and Religion.
3. Mr. Humayun Qaiser (Director Radio Kashmir Srinagar). IBS (UPSC), ace broadcaster and a veteran who played Ranji Trophy for J&K team for many many years.
4. Mr. Wajahat Qazi, senior political analyst with degrees in Political Science, Management and Commerce. He is an author and analyst of international repute.
5. Prof. Dibyesh Anand, Head of the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Westminster, London.
6. Dr. Shabir Hassan, PhD from UZH/ETH, Zurich. SNSF fellow and postdoctoral researcher at a joint lab of Harvard Medical School and MIT, US.
While the probables include Showkat Nanda who is a Documentary Photographer with three international awards and FullBright fellow with graduation from Missouri School of Jornalism, USA.
The event will be moderated by Mr. Faizaan Bhat.
